Marci Pieper, O.D.

Dr. Marci Pieper is from Akron, Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for her undergraduate studies and graduated with her doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1997. She completed her internship at the U.S. Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon graduation she moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and joined Sheridan Eyecare Center and worked part time at the Sheridan V.A. Medical Center.

While in Sheridan, Dr. Pieper was very active in optometric and civic organizations including: Wyoming Optometric Association (WOA) Board member, Toronto Laser Center (TLC) Advisory Board member, American Optometric Association (AOA) member, Wellness Council of Sheridan County member, Sheridan County Health Fair eye care coordinator, and Sheridan Head Start Health Advisory Committee member. Dr. Pieper has given several eye health related lectures and presentations to community health-oriented groups on topics like diabetic eye disease and the importance of early detection and treatment of eye conditions in young children.

She is involved in the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). In October and November 2011, she was a sub-investigator in clinical research with two local ophthalmologists working on a project with Bausch & Lomb. Dr. Pieper has a broad range of patient care experience including, primary care optometry for children and adults, vision therapy, treatment of ocular disease, and co-management of refractive surgery. She truly enjoys her work and feels one of the best perks of the job is getting to know so many different individuals with different interests and loves swapping recipes, the names of good books or good restaurants.

Michelle Hammond, O.D.

Michelle Hammond, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the College of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in 2020 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Auburn University. She completed her Ocular Disease and Surgery Co-Management Residency with an emphasis in geriatrics and small emphasis in low vision rehabilitation and specialty contact lens at Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Memorial Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA and Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute in Kennewick, WA in 2021. Dr. Hammond received her diplomate of the American Board of Optometry in 2021.

Her special fields of interest include geriatric and primary patient care, with a focus on pre- and post-operative care, retinal disease, ocular surface disease, and glaucoma management.

Dr. Hammond strongly believes that clear vision is one of our most precious senses and being able to manage vision-related conditions is a strong area of interest for her in the medical community. She particularly enjoys helping all patients, whether fully sighted or without sight, improve their quality of life with glasses, contacts, low vision devices, surgical co-management and medical management.

Dr. Hammond has volunteered at vision screenings with the Blind Center of Nevada and Care Harbor Los Angeles, and participated in a mission trip to St. Ann Parish, Jamaica, through SEE International and the Alliance of Jamaican and American Humanitarians. While there, she provided disease management, pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgeries, and eye exams to the community.

In her free time away from the office, Dr. Hammond enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, running, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Doreen Ng, O.D.

Dr. Ng attended the University of California in San Diego for her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2009 and completed her Ocular Disease Residency at SUNY Optometry in New York City in 2010. She received her fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2011 and continues to be an active member in the organization.

Her specialties include primary and pediatric care with an emphasis on glaucoma, retina and ocular surface disease. She fits a multitude of contact lenses and loves working with patients of all ages.

She is also involved with OneSight, a charity organization that provides free eye examinations and glasses to children in underserved communities. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and supports the Golden State Warriors. She also speaks and understands Spanish. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her toddler, husband, family and friends.
