Dr. Michelle Hammond

Michelle Hammond, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the College of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in 2020 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Auburn University. She completed her Ocular Disease and Surgery Co-Management Residency with an emphasis in geriatrics and small emphasis in low vision rehabilitation and specialty contact lens at Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Memorial Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA and Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute in Kennewick, WA in 2021. Dr. Hammond received her diplomate of the American Board of Optometry in 2021.

Her special fields of interest include geriatric and primary patient care, with a focus on pre- and post-operative care, retinal disease, ocular surface disease, and glaucoma management.

Dr. Hammond strongly believes that clear vision is one of our most precious senses and being able to manage vision-related conditions is a strong area of interest for her in the medical community. She particularly enjoys helping all patients, whether fully sighted or without sight, improve their quality of life with glasses, contacts, low vision devices, surgical co-management and medical management.

Dr. Hammond has volunteered at vision screenings with the Blind Center of Nevada and Care Harbor Los Angeles, and participated in a mission trip to St. Ann Parish, Jamaica, through SEE International and the Alliance of Jamaican and American Humanitarians. While there, she provided disease management, pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgeries, and eye exams to the community.

In her free time away from the office, Dr. Hammond enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, running, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Terri Gieske

Terri Gieske, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 1988 and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Missouri – Rolla.

Dr. Gieske specializes in dry eye and macular degeneration. Her fascination with eyecare and eye health inspired her to become an optometrist. Dr. Gieske loves seeing her long-term patients and learning about new patients. Although Dr. Gieske has reduced her hours to spend more time with her family, a modified schedule is available.

In Dr. Gieske’s free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and spending time with her young grandchildren.

Dr. Julienne Heene

Dr. Julienne Heene completed her undergraduate schooling at the University of California San Diego.  She furthered her education by obtaining a Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2003.  Since then she has worked many internships in Seattle, Tyndall Air Force Base, and Honolulu.  She worked in an ophthalmology setting for the last eight years where she became skilled in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of corneal surface disease and ocular complications.  Dr. Heene has gone on several mission trips to provide eye exams and care to those who can neither afford or obtain it.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband Zack and their two boys.
Dr. Charles Kesner

Dr. Charles E. Kesner II is dedicated to providing the highest level of eye health care. Dr. Kesner obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and was awarded his optometry degree from the University of Missouri-School of Optometry. During his tenure at the University of Missouri, Dr. Kesner completed optometric externships in neuro-ophthalmic, retinal, corneal, glaucoma and cataract training. His
additional externships include training in specialty contact lenses and vision therapy. Dr. Kesner has been a resident of the East Valley for decades. He is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association, and he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and his five daughters. Dr. Kesner also enjoys skiing, surfing, biking, Disney and church activities with family and friends. Dr. Kesner has been in practice since 2003.
Dr. Michelle Nadeau

Dr. Michelle Nadeau completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo in Biomedical Sciences. She then completed her Optometry degree at The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. A Residency in Primary Care with a subspecialty in Ocular Disease at NOVA Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL is where she gained extensive experience in therapeutic treatment and management of eye disease. Dr. Nadeau has been involved in many volunteer actions including working in a homeless shelter eye clinic, participating in a mission trip to an impoverished region of the Dominican Republic, and participating in Lion’s Club and Special Olympics vision screenings. Dr. Nadeau has a special interest in children’s eye exams, therapeutic treatment of red eye and other ocular conditions, management of ocular diseases, and contact lens fitting.

Dr. Doreen Ng

Dr. Ng attended the University of California in San Diego for her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2009 and completed her Ocular Disease Residency at SUNY Optometry in New York City in 2010. She received her fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2011 and continues to be an active member in the organization.

Her specialties include primary and pediatric care with an emphasis on glaucoma, retina and ocular surface disease. She fits a multitude of contact lenses and loves working with patients of all ages.

She is also involved with OneSight, a charity organization that provides free eye examinations and glasses to children in underserved communities. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and supports the Golden State Warriors. She also speaks and understands Spanish. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her toddler, husband, family and friends.

Dr. Marci Pieper

Dr. Marci Pieper is from Akron, Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for her undergraduate studies and graduated with her doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1997. She completed her internship at the U.S. Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon graduation she moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and joined Sheridan Eyecare Center and worked part time at the Sheridan V.A. Medical Center.

While in Sheridan, Dr. Pieper was very active in optometric and civic organizations including: Wyoming Optometric Association (WOA) Board member, Toronto Laser Center (TLC) Advisory Board member, American Optometric Association (AOA) member, Wellness Council of Sheridan County member, Sheridan County Health Fair eye care coordinator, and Sheridan Head Start Health Advisory Committee member. Dr. Pieper has given several eye health related lectures and presentations to community health-oriented groups on topics like diabetic eye disease and the importance of early detection and treatment of eye conditions in young children.

She is involved in the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). In October and November 2011, she was a sub-investigator in clinical research with two local ophthalmologists working on a project with Bausch & Lomb. Dr. Pieper has a broad range of patient care experience including, primary care optometry for children and adults, vision therapy, treatment of ocular disease, and co-management of refractive surgery. She truly enjoys her work and feels one of the best perks of the job is getting to know so many different individuals with different interests and loves swapping recipes, the names of good books or good restaurants.

Dr. John Peterson

Dr. John Peterson grew up in Provo, Utah, which cultivated his love for the outdoors. After spending a few years in Berlin, Germany, learning about their culture, he returned to Utah to attend Southern Utah University, where he earned his B.A. degree.  He attended the University of St. Louis College of Optometry where he excelled in treatment and management of ocular disease, fitting of contact lenses, and custom eyewear for patients with various visual demands.   Dr. Peterson and his wife Lara moved to Tucson in 2011 to enjoy the weather and lifestyle it had to offer.  After careful consideration, Dr. Peterson decided to move to Fountain Hills in 2015 to experience the benefits of belonging to a close-knit community.  Dr. Peterson and his wife have two boys, and the family is thrilled to get to know all their Fountain Hills neighbors!

Dr. Kyle Stott

Dr. Stott was born and raised in the city of Lancaster, CA in northern Los Angeles County. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management he went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. His internship rotations in Memphis included The Eye Center (the largest clinic of its kind in North America), Family Vision Care, and the Memphis Veteran’s Association Medical Center.

Dr. Stott is a versatile practitioner who enjoys practicing to the fullest extent of his scope. On top of performing routine vision care, Dr. Stott is skilled in detection and treatment of various medical eye conditions including chronic ocular diseases such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, and Diabetic Retinopathy. Additionally, he enjoys providing treatment for acute eye problems such as foreign bodies, infections, injuries, and red eyes.

He is experienced in fitting a variety of contact lenses that range from standard soft lenses to specialty contact lens fits for irregular corneas. He is also certified in orthokeratology to reduce progression of nearsightedness in children and for allowing patients to be free of contact lenses or glasses during the day.

Prior to moving to Gilbert, AZ in 2018, Dr. Stott lived and practiced in his wife’s hometown of Coeur d’Alene, ID.  He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children and likes to spend his spare time exercising, playing volleyball, and riding dirtbikes.

Roberto Lucca, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1987 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Studies from Purdue University in 1983.

Dr. Roberto Lucca’s passion for healthcare lead him to pursue a career in eyecare. At a very young age, Dr. Lucca witnessed his grandmother lose her vision. That experience made Dr. Lucca realize how devastating vision loss is for an individual or loved one. To Dr. Lucca, being an optometrist allows him to serve and protect people’s vision, as well as educate them about their eyecare needs.

In Dr. Lucca’s free time, he enjoys traveling, playing the bass guitar, socializing with friends and spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. He is also a sports fanatic, especially the Real Madrid soccer team.

Dr. Milita Petrauskaite

Milita Petrauskaite, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2019 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014.

Dr. Petrauskaite specializes in ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and dry eye as well as myopia control and contacts. Dr. Petrauskaite always found joy in helping others. While in high school, she tutored students with ADHD and special needs.

During her time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Petrauskaite worked in the Pathology Department of the Medicine Research College where she contributed to cancer research. This passion to help others led Dr. Petrauskaite to the field of optometry, which she believes is the perfect environment to get to know her patients and find solutions for their unique eyecare needs.

In Dr. Petrauskaite free time, she enjoys learning about and practicing a healthy lifestyle including dietary and fitness tips, tricks and hacks. Additionally, she enjoys listening to educational/practical podcasts and reading new books. Dr. Petrauskaite also has a love for traveling and experiencing new cultures with her fiancé, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Allie Moody

Allie Moody, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2022 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pittsburg State University in 2018.

Dr. Moody specializes in dry eye care. Dr. Moody loves interacting with her patients and improving their vision and eye comfort. To Dr. Moody, being an optometrist is fulfilling as she is able to help and care for patients in all stages of life.
