WHEN URGENT CARE IS NECESSARY

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions you should seek care.

• Object in the eye causing pain or discomfort
• Chemicals in the eye
• Abrasion or scratch of the surface of the eye
• Sudden change in vision
• Partial or complete loss of vision in one or both eyes
• Sudden onset of double vision
• Pain in or around the eye
• Infection or Shingles in the eye
• Sudden onset of floaters
• Recurrent flashes of light

AFTER BUSINESS HOURS

Telephone consultation with a doctor is available during some evening and weekend hours to help you determine if you can wait until the next business day to be seen in the practice or if you should go to the emergency room for more immediate care.

Call (480) 892-6560 and select the option for afterhours telephone consultation. The phone system will indicate if there is a doctor is on call during this time and if so you would leave a message regarding the nature of your eye emergency as well as your contact information for a call back.

Lost or broken glasses or torn contact lenses are not urgent care issues. For these situations contact the office during regular business hours.
